Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy New Year and welcome back to school. It has been great to see many of you over the last two days and fantastic to see many of our children returning safe, fit and well. Thank you for adhering to our COVID safe guidance. Please remember to contact us if your child has a positive lateral flow or PCR test as soon as possible so we can continue to keep your children and our staff as fit and well as we can.
If your child has a positive lateral flow or PCR test and has to stay at home to isolate, please look at our website where you will find guidance for any missed learning below:

Video lessons and worksheets are provided. If you need any further support with this, please let the school office know.
We have an action-packed term ahead and the teachers have been busy planning some exciting trips and visits as well as preparing some creative lessons. Music lessons for Year 4 will begin weekly and children will be having Samba drumming lessons. Year 4 and 5 will continue with their swimming lessons. Reception will be receiving some drama workshops and many other year groups will be participating in exciting activities.
During the school inset days’ adults were reminded of our safeguarding policies and received training for emotional well-being, behaviour support, reading, spelling and maths mastery. Staff have been inspired by the training and many of the strategies and lessons will be put into place this term.
This is a crucial term for learning as statutory tests will be taking place in May and June for Years 2,4 and 6. Please ensure your children attend school daily to ensure they do not miss any vital lessons.
Meetings will be held for parents over the next few weeks regarding these tests, so please look out for the dates on our next whole school newsletter.
We hope you have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you all on Monday
