Dear Parents,
We have had a lovely week this week at Grange. Children in Year 4 began their drumming lessons. It was lovely to see the children and adults working together and the sounds coming out of the hall were great! This week I met with the education outreach officer from the Drawing Room a local art gallery near to us. We have been invited to participate in an exciting art project called Rock, Paper, Scissors. Through ROCK PAPER SCISSORS, Drawing Room will partner with local primary schools, teachers, and SEN specialists in collective research to invigorate drawing practice in KS1 and KS2.
The findings will be widely shared as publications distributed to primary schools across London, making positive change to thousands of children. We are excited to see how this project will further benefit our children and are looking forward to working with artists in residence.
On Thursday ‘Peak’ house winners and staff members enjoyed a fantastic bowling trip to celebrate their behaviour and achievements of last term. Good luck to all houses this term! The next house winners’ trip will take place before our Easter break.
Next week the SLT team and I will be looking at the children’s English books. We can’t wait to see some quality writing and the progress the children have made.
Finally, we welcomed Farhana Sultana to the team this week. Please make sure you say hello to her when you see her on the gate in the morning or at the end of the day.
Have a great weekend,
