School Improvement Plan
Context
Grange Primary School is a community primary school in Bermondsey, Southwark. The school is two-form entry from Reception to Y4 and 1.5 forms in Y5-Y6. There is a nursery. Pupil outcomes are generally in line with national averages.
The Ofsted (Oct 2012) inspection rated the school Good. There are high expectations of behaviour and achievement. The school strives to offer a broad and creative curriculum with many extra-curricular activities.

To improve further the school needs to:
- The proportion of outstanding teaching is not yet high enough to ensure that all pupils make rapid progress. In particular, the level of challenge provided for the most able pupils is not always high enough.
- The role of middle leaders in monitoring and evaluating the school’s work is not fully developed.
