This week Nursery children were very lucky to be able to observe a life cycle of a chicken first hand. Happy Eggs project brought 10 eggs which we put in an incubator. Children have watched the chicks hatch and grow. We are happy to announce that all the eggs have hatched and we have 10 chicks now! Children have been engaged in life cycle related activities. They made a collage of the life cycle of a chicken. In Mathematics they have been counting eggs, learning about ‘one more’ and ‘one less’.
In Phonics we continue with alliteration and the book we have been reading this week: ‘Dora’s Eggs.’ has provided lots of examples of alliteration. Thank you to all the parents who joined their children during creative play session on Wednesday. It was a fun trip to the ‘desert’!
