Dear Parents, Carers,
This week I have been observing your children during their English lessons, I have seen some great writing. A giant has visited Year 2, Year 1 have been describing ‘Baby Bear’s Voyage’ to the moon, and Year 6 have written some beautiful descriptions to describe a journey based on the Shaun Tan book ‘The Arrival’.
Behaviour for learning and attitude to learning is improving, and the children are getting much better at reporting incidents to us. Please continue to talk with your children at home and encourage them to talk to us if they are unhappy. If you feel an incident has not been dealt with, please do not take it into your own hands. Please book a meeting with myself or Mr Black, and allow us the time to manage situations. Any inappropriate or aggressive behaviour on school grounds, will result in a ban from the school premises. I will not tolerate parents shouting or intimidating school staff, or our children. Please treat others in a way you would want yourself or your children to be treated.
Communication is getting better, but many of you are still telling me you are not receiving letters. We send weekly newsletters via Parentmail, included in the weekly newsletters are copies of most communication sent during the week. All letters including the newsletters can be found on our school website. The website is also a great place to look for information for any details from coffee mornings you may have missed. Please check the website regularly to make sure you have not missed anything. I hope you have a fantastic weekend and look forward to seeing you all next week.
