Dear Parents,
Thank you to those that attended Parents’ Evening this week. We have received some good feedback and have been given some ideas of things we need to work on. We hope you have enjoyed hearing about your children’s progress, and how you can support them at home. We will be sending a short-written report home at the end of the next half term in December to keep you up to date with progress your children have made.
Our next formal Parents’ Evening will be held in the spring term, and this will give you the chance to meet face to face with your child’s teacher. You have a duty of care and a legal responsibility to attend these meetings, so please ensure you make an appointment.
This week your children have been creating some amazing pieces of Artwork, which you will have the opportunity to see and purchase in our art exhibition in December. Children’s work will be making its way to the framers during half term ready for our exhibition. Look out for an invitation to this even after the half term. Our School Council have met this week and have decided on some names for our School Houses. During the first week back, the children in every class will vote for the four names they like the best. The Houses are named after famous astronauts. The children will be taught about each astronaut, so they learn about them. Names in the running are; Wilson, Harris, Peake, Armstrong, Collins, Sharman and Jemison. Once the names are decided each child will be allocated to a house. Children’s Dojo points will be added to the house each week and the winning house will attend a special trip at the end of each full term.
Thanks to all of the Staff, Parents and Carers at Grange for welcoming me to the community. Have a restful half term and stay safe.
I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday, 2nd November 2021.
