Dear Grange families,
During the past term children have been smiling and enjoying their learning. I am sure you will all want to join me in saying a huge thank you to all the staff for their hard work in ensuring school is a safe and welcoming place for all, and for providing activities that meet the needs of every single child in school. I also want to say thank you to all the parents and carers for supporting the school so well and following the guidelines so that we can all stay as safe as possible. We look forward to the time when we can welcome you back inside the building to join in with the learning in classes, take part in enrichment activities and to see our wonderful shows and productions.
As we continue to follow the roadmap out of lockdown and restrictions begin to lift, some families may be looking to take holidays during term time. I would like to remind parents and carers that, as usual, holidays should be planned around school breaks and parents and carers should avoid seeking permission to take their children out of school. School attendance continues to be mandatory for all pupils and the usual rules on school attendance apply. This includes parents’ duty to ensure their child regularly attends school, and schools’ and local authorities’ ability to issue sanctions, including fixed penalty notices, for poor attendance.
We would like to say a BIG ‘Thank You’ to Stephanie Mitchell for completing 20 years as a Breakfast Club Supervisor. Today was Stephanie’s last day as a Breakfast Club Supervisor and we would like to thank her for all her care, support and commitment to our children and their families. Stephanie will still be working in the Nursery as a Nursey Nurse!
Have a restful May Halfterm and see you all on Monday, 07th June 2021!
The Grange Team
