Headteachers Update

December 16, 2023Tony Cavallo

What a busy week we have had. A massive well done to all of the children and staff for their hard work with the winter performances. I was so sorry to have missed the year 4,5 and 6 performance on Wednesday. The children’s singing was amazing and we really enjoyed each performance. Well done to all!

Winter Fair

Thanks to all of the staff and parents for their help and contributions for our winter fair. There was a real buzz and the children loved the snow machine and light show. Thanks to Santa and his elf for their visit, they will be popping in again on Wednesday to give the children a treat before we leave! All money raised at the fair will go towards creative resources for school so thanks so much for your generosity, we raised £511 in total. Congratulations to all of the raffle winners but a huge congratulations to Aila in Venus class who won the first prize of a Galaxy Tablet.

Pantomime

Thanks to West End in Schools Theatre Company who visited us on Thursday morning to perform to the children. It was a real treat to  see the children enjoying the show.

Last Friday we had a surprise visit. Southwark’s Mayor Michael Situ. He visited to present Linda in Galaxy class with a prize. Congratulations to Linda who was this year’s runner up in the Mayors Christmas card competition. Linda along with others in art club entered the competition earlier this year. On Friday the Mayor presented Linda with a framed picture of her entry, a large pack of the printed cards with her drawing on and some chocolates. We are incredibly proud of your achievement Linda and it was great to meet the Mayor!
