Dear Parents, Carers,
Our children have been working hard this week, with many of them writing some fantastic stories and some excellent pieces of artwork. We are celebrating Black History Month, and have been treated to talks by guest speakers including our very own Mary Phillip, former English International Football Captain. The children have listened to, and created poems to celebrate National Poetry Day on Thursday, 7Th October 2021. Congratulations to our Year 3 and 4 girls football team who won all matches played, and came back to school with an enormous trophy! We are really proud of your achievement, well done girls!
Thanks to those of you that attended our Parent Coffee Mornings we have hosted so far. We hope you have found them useful, and had the chance to see how we teach reading at school. All presentations delivered have been uploaded to our school website and can be found under the Parent tab. If you have a child in Year 5 or 6, please attend the coffee morning next Friday, 15th October 2021 at 9am.
It was fantastic to see so many parents attend our PTA meeting on Thursday morning, and I am excited to see what events will be planned and take place during the academic year. If you were unable to attend, but think you could help, please email your interest to me or let the school office know. headteacher@grange.southwark.sch.uk
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr Eric Ofosuhene, as he has been successful with his application to join our Governing body. I would personally like to welcome Eric to the team and thank him for his application and interest.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend and look forward to seeing you all next week.
