Dear Grange families,
Back to School
Southwark Back to School Southwark have created a new webpage which has the latest information on support and resources available to parents, children, and young people. They have also created a booklet which contains lots of useful information which is also found on their website.
You can access this website at the following address: www.southwark.gov.uk/backtoschool
Note from the office
As part of our safeguarding procedures, a child can only go home with the usual person who collects them. No child will be sent home with another person without the school receiving at least verbal permission from a person with parental responsibility.
Children must be collected by someone 16 years of age or older. If staff are unsure of a young person’s age, they will ask for proof before sending the child home. If someone different is collecting your child please notify the school office.
Free School Meals
The Local Authority provide free school meals to all children in Southwark but some families qualify for additional pupil premium funding which we use to enhance children’s learning. If you have a household income of less that £16,100 per year or are entitled to universal credit, please contact the school office for a free school meals application which needs to be completed and returned to the office.
Absence
An absent pupil form is available on the school website for you to complete to inform the school when a child is absent.
The form can be found at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfGIVmP5xt3DFHi62GBAZ7-XSMf5Qt90nBSz3ARynqsjsuOtw/viewform
Finally, we would like to reassure families that we are constantly reviewing DfE guidelines and monitoring school procedures to ensure that we keep children and staff as safe as possible. Thank you for your support during these challenging times. Best wishes from the Grange Team.
