Dear Grange families,
It’s OCTOBER and we can already feel the change in temperatures. Our focus on reducing the spread of Covid-19 continues. As part of this we need to keep good ventilation in classes even though it may be a bit chilly. We need your help! Please could we ask parents to ensure that children are dressed warmly for class? This could be dressing your child in layers or providing them with a jumper every day. Warm coats and hats are also highly recommended for outdoor play. We will continue to exercise good respiratory hygiene within the school as well as minimising contact across bubbles. We would just like to say another huge thank you to all our parents for working with the school so brilliantly and for supporting our ongoing endeavours to limit the spread of the virus. We know it hasn’t been easy but we value your support during this time.
Weather
The weather is changing and the warm days of summer are becoming distant memories. With this in mind, we ask that parents / carers please ensure that children have appropriate clothing as, if at all possible, we would like them to be outside during break time and lunchtime. This means children will need waterproof jackets with hoods as well as coats, if it is cold. We know that outdoor play provides an important environment to foster brain development, motor skills, and social and cognitive development, as well as being fun, which means happy children. Due to Covid-19 many children have spent a great deal of time indoors. We want to maximise the amount of time children can spend outside and with the right clothes, we can ensure they are able to reap the rewards of outside play.
