This year we are really excited to be raising money for Sport Relief 2016! As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives.
Sport Relief 2016 will be kicking off in schools and nurseries on Friday 18th March. Everybody across the school will be doing something to raise money. On the back of this letter you will find your child’s sponsorship form, we want them to try and collect as much sponsorship money as they can. There will be a prize for the most money raised. Please see details below telling you what each year group will be doing to raise money,
Thursday 17th March
- Reception Sponsored Obstacle course
Friday 18th March
- £1 to wear own clothes to school
- KS1 Sponsored Walk (One Mile)
- KS2 Sponsored Walk (Three Miles)
- Football Team Vs Staff Football Match
- Cake Sale Afterschool
Sunday 20th March
- 15 Teachers will be taking part in the Sports Relief Mile Challenge. If you would like to sponsor us please click on the link below
And, the best bit is, the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries. To learn more about how Comic Relief spends the money raised for Sport Relief please look at the pamphlet below or visit sportrelief.com/schools
We will also be using Sport Relief as a teaching opportunity so that our students can learn about the issues children across the world face, and how the money we raise can help them.
We really appreciate your support and hope that you’ll have fun helping our school raise lots of money for Sport Relief!
