Dear parents/carers,
A very Merry Christmas to everyone and a Happy New Year! We have finally made it to the end of one of the longest Autumn terms I can ever remember! All the children have had a very purposeful start to the school year and have persevered with their learning so I’m sure they are ready to rest up and enjoy the holidays!
Over the last two weeks the children have been having their Christmas performances, have had their Christmas dinner and have been wearing their Christmas jumpers, just for fun! It was lovely to see so many of them entering into the Christmas spirit by joining in. The number of children (and adults) who took part was commendable and so many different designs. The children (and staff!) definitely now need the Christmas break to fully recharge their batteries after such an incredibly long and busy term!
I would like to let you know that unfortunately Ms Emily Smith, Year 5 teacher and Ms Dominique Dacosta, our Health Mentor from the Evolve Project are leaving the school at the end of this term. We wish them well in the future.
We welcome Ms Ayo Ojumu who joins us as the new Year 5 teacher. Ms Ojumu will be taking over Neptune Class from Monday, 6 January 2020. I am sure that you will make her feel very welcomed in our community.
I would like to personally thank all of the staff, Governors, and in particular, the children for making our school such an enjoyable place to learn and work in. I am sure that you will join me in thanking the staff for all working so incredibly hard for the children of our school. It is the passion, commitment and dedication of everyone working together in partnership for the benefit of our children that makes Grange Primary School Primary such a great place to come and learn.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the parents, for your commitment and continued support. You have been amazing! I look forward to us working in partnership in the new 2020, having the confidence that we will see an even greater parental engagement and involvement.
Happy holidays everyone!
See you all on Monday 6 January 2020
With best wishes,
