Our boys’ football team were back in action this evening, needing to win to keep their hopes of being in the top four alive.
A tight and tense first half saw the boys leading by just one goal at half time, but they knew if they kept up the Grange spirit they would eventually come away with the victory. The second half saw Adejola and Kaiden command the defence with superb authority and composure, this let Nazai and Ivan play with their usual freedom, as Nazai bagged another goal to make it 3-1. The team were now looking like the Grange “of old” as they pushed forward to grab another goal with substitute Jonayed grabbing his second goal in two games.
The team earned this victory with great teamwork but a huge pat on the back should go to goalkeeper Rico who pulled off a number of fantastic saves to keep the team in the game during the first half.
