On Tuesday evening our boys’ football team were hoping to get back to winning ways against Peter Hills Primary. A few changes in the line up saw some children making their debut but it was Rico who produced an outstanding performance in the first half to keep us in the game. Making save after save it was Rico himself who managed to keep it at 1-0 at half time.
The boys started very strong in the second half, when Nazai make it 1-1 and then Jonayed gave us the lead with a well placed finish from the edge of the area. The last eight minutes were a bit of a struggle as legs started to tire and gaps started to appear in our defence. With gaps appearing, this allowed Peter Hills to level the game and then take the lead later on to win 3-2.
The boys have two games left and two wins will cement their place in the top four and make finals’ week.
