Aurora Class visits East London Radio

We have just completed a week at IntoUniversity. One of the main highlights was our radio show at East London Radio (ELR). We had so much fun producing, editing and broadcasting our show. Listen out for information on many Universities, Jokes, Quizzes and much more. Please have a listen by clicking the link below.

East London Radio –

We have started the year in great spirits and worked on many projects based on Journalism and Who I am! In English we are studying the book ‘King Kong’. We have written some excellent character descriptions using powerful adjectives. In Maths we are working hard on ‘Place Value’.

As mentioned above we spent last week at IntoUniversity and produced a Radio Show on East London Radio. We ended the week with a graduation ceremony at Cambridge….YES Cambridge University.  The children returned enthused about learning and keen to set goals to ensure that they can be the best they can be.

In Topic lessons this half term, we are learning about the British Isles. The children have drawn maps and labeled all the major towns and cities. We will be looking at all the counties, rivers and mountains in the weeks to come.

In the coming months, we are going to the Wetlands Centre to learn about classification of species and what environment best suit these species to live.

We will also be visiting the Unicorn Theatre for a performance of ‘Baddies The Musical’. This critically-praised show was a big hit for the Unicorn last Christmas, so they are staging the production again. The show is a mash-up of all the traditional tales’ baddies getting into scrapes following the Wolf getting sent to jail for being too bad.

We look forward to sharing much more news with you in the coming months. 🙂
